Job Purpose:

The Sr. Director, Pre-Transitional Services assists in defining divisional goals and strategic plans. Develops guidelines, processes, and procedures for the post-incarceration business unit – specifically around transitional services for individuals prior to their release from a prison or jail.  This person is responsible for driving customer adoption and implementation. This person has business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area.  Additionally, this role is responsible for driving customer adoption and implementation of the program.



Requirements

Essential Duties

  • Serve in an integral role in the creation, development, and oversight of the business unit.
  • Develop guidelines, processes, and procedures related to transitional services for individuals prior to their release from a prison or jail.
  • Responsible for driving customer adoption and implementation.
  • Lead a team, which consists of management and individual contributors to achieve objectives as defined by upper management.
  • Develop roadmap and manage overall transitional services strategy in order to achieve financial and strategic growth objectives.
  • Establish departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of short- and long-term marketing campaigns and strategies promoting assigned organizational products or product lines.
  • Manage and maintain all P&L and related activities of assigned group, which impacts the business unit’s overall P&L.
  • Ensure product pipeline supports the company’s overall strategy and goals by improving EBITDA, margins, and product capabilities.
  • Increase EBITDA value according to annual objectives for product line.
  • Increase product penetration according to annual objectives for product line.
  • Increase product Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) according to annual objectives for product line.
  • Create, analyze, and present product profitability analysis.
  • Identify market requirements and opportunities and prioritize within product line roadmap.
  • Internal and external evangelist for product offering, often working directly with sales channel and key customers.
  • Create business cases and strategies for new products, existing products, and markets.
  • Evaluate performance of marketing initiatives and revises strategy in response.
  • Maintain deep understanding of market and customer needs.
  • Manage business decisions based on FCC regulations.
  • Maintain detailed product documentation including functional capabilities, benefits, competitive comparison, etc.
  • Create and manage customer facing tools such as collateral, website content, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Lead and execute go-to-market for all new products and product enhancements.
  • Understand that the business unit’s product’s success will systemically impact the organization and create a strategy to ensure success.
  • Provides trade show and Hospitality event support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area
  • Broad knowledge of the field with proven management skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to the market
  • Proven track recording successfully growing product line value
  • Demonstrable creative writing skills
  • Perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business.
  • Meet objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Proactively make decisions that improve product financial and KPI performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years related experience, to include progressively increased levels of responsibility
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Deep knowledge of the corrections industry, specifically experience with post-release transitional services
